We were happy to host Mikey Allen as he ended his tour of local restaurant spots for lunch - saving the Bridge Tavern - our personal favorite - for last!

It's that time of the year - the holiday season is upon us!  Call us now to make dinner reservations before the parade.  304-232-1900.

Roi Mezare, clarinet
Robert Driscoll Jr., oboe

Mendelssohn: Hebrides Overture
Françaix: L’Horloge de Flore
Mozart: Clarinet Concerto
Prokofiev: Classical Symphony (Symphony no. 1)

The stars are out at the WSO’s “Hometown’s Finest” concert, featuring two of the orchestra’s principal players as soloists. First, we have Mendelssohn’s entrancing Hebrides Overture, a soundscape of the haunting caves and rocky shoreline of Scotland. Then, you will fall in love with France as Jean Francaix paints a picture of blooming flowers through neo-classical stylings in his L’Horloge de Flore, with soloist Robert Driscoll. Next, we journey back to the classical era to experience one of Mozart’s finest works, his Clarinet Concerto, with Roi Mezare as soloist. The concert ends with Prokofiev’s blazing Classical Symphony, the modernist composer’s take on a symphony of old.
